Transforming Lives Through Education and Support
At ALPHA House, we believe in empowering each woman to make a committed change for herself and her child. Through a comprehensive program, resident mothers receive tailored skills training and holistic support aimed at fostering independence and healthy family dynamics.
Comprehensive Services Offered to Resident Mothers
Therapeutic Counseling: Our counseling services focus on proper self-care during pregnancy, the transition into motherhood, healthy parenting techniques, child abuse prevention, self-esteem building, and making positive life choices. We also address sensitive topics related to parenting and adoption to ensure mothers are fully supported.
Case Management: Dedicated case managers connect residents with vital community resources, including educational programs, medical care, WIC, government assistance, and more. They also provide ongoing monitoring to ensure residents meet the expectations and goals of the ALPHA House program.
Life Skills Education: Weekly group and individual sessions help residents prepare for childbirth and parenting while building essential life skills such as budgeting, stress management, housing stability, nutrition, and substance abuse prevention.
Vocational Education: Residents are encouraged to pursue their educational goals, whether attending high school, college, or working toward a GED. For those who have completed their education, ALPHA House assists in finding internships or employment opportunities to support economic independence.
