Accredited and highly respected, Catholic Charities serves the poor and vulnerable populations across Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, welcoming all residents regardless of race, creed, gender, national origin, disability, or socioeconomic status.
With a portfolio of over 1,700 housing units, Catholic Charities is deeply committed to partnering with community stakeholders to address and resolve complex homelessness challenges in the region.
Pinellas Hope: A Beacon of Hope for the Homeless
A key initiative of Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg, Pinellas Hope was launched in December 2007 on 10 acres of land generously provided by Bishop Robert N. Lynch and the Diocese. This innovative pilot program offers a comprehensive array of shelter and supportive services designed to provide homeless individuals with a safe, stable environment and the tools they need to regain independence.
Over the years, Pinellas Hope has become a cornerstone for homeless adults, serving over 10,000 individuals and providing more than 1.6 million meals. Its mission centers on fostering self-sufficiency by offering shelter, meals, case management, and resources that empower guests to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Committed to Lasting Impact
Catholic Charities and Pinellas Hope continue to work tirelessly to create healthier communities and alleviate homelessness through compassionate service, housing solutions, and advocacy efforts. Together, they provide vital lifelines to individuals and families in need across multiple counties, ensuring everyone has access to safe shelter, nourishing food, and pathways to a brighter future.
