Description

Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans (DCHV) provides housing and supportive services to Veterans experiencing homelessness in Delaware. Founded in 2009, DCHV works with the local VA and nonprofit organizations to help Veterans reintegrate into the community and address housing and supportive-service needs.

DCHV’s community outreach outpatient program serves adults and offers outreach and case management, employment and housing assistance, peer support, nutritional information, smoking cessation, parenting classes, anger management, and recovery support. The program also assists people seeking psychiatric, psychosocial, and other available resources.

DCHV provides transitional housing and supportive services for female Veterans through a partnership with the New Castle County Hope Center. These services are intended to support residential stability, skill or income development, and greater self-determination. Visit the official website to confirm current program details. Additional resources are available through NHREA’s Delaware homeless assistance and federal assistance pages.
