MICAH House, founded in 1986, is a trusted emergency family homeless shelter dedicated to providing safe housing, compassionate care, and vital support services to hundreds of children and adults each year. Located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, MICAH House offers stability and security to families and single women who are uncertain about their future and seeking a safe place to rebuild their lives.
More than a shelter, MICAH House provides a comprehensive network of services designed to meet both immediate and long-term needs. Residents receive nutritious meals, access to counseling resources, and on-site healthcare through the shelter’s dedicated health clinic. These wraparound services help families and individuals restore dignity, improve well-being, and take meaningful steps toward independence and stability.
