Founded by Rev. and Mrs. David Bulkley, City Union Mission was established with a heartfelt purpose—to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the hurting and lost. Today, that foundational commitment remains strong as our dedicated staff continues to serve as the Lord’s hands and feet, bringing hope and practical help to individuals and families facing homelessness and poverty in the Kansas City community.
City Union Mission operates without government funding and is not affiliated with the United Way. Our ministry relies entirely on the generosity of God’s people—individual donors, churches, community groups, foundations, and businesses—who share a passion for supporting the poor and homeless in Kansas City. Together, we partner to transform lives through faith, compassion, and practical assistance.
