Description

Sasha Bruce House is part of Sasha Bruce Youthwork, which has worked since 1974 to support young people at risk of homelessness. The organization provides residential, counseling, educational, workforce-development, and family-support services for youth and families in Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Bruce House is a short-term shelter for youth ages 11–17 who are homeless, runaway, abandoned, or in crisis. Services include safe housing, crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, and support with family reunification or longer-term housing options. Other Sasha Bruce Youthwork programs provide drop-in services, street outreach, case management, housing navigation, life-skills support, and education and career assistance. Learn more on the official programs page.
