Whittier Area First Day Coalition (First Day) was founded with a vision of creating a healthy, safe, and vibrant community where every individual has access to housing, healthcare, employment, and opportunities for civic engagement. Serving primarily in Los Angeles County’s SPA 7, First Day focuses on helping those experiencing homelessness and at-risk individuals transition toward self-sufficiency.

Our programs are rooted in our core values of compassion, respect, integrity, collaboration, empowerment, and innovation. By providing emergency shelter, case management, health services, and employment support, we give individuals and families the tools they need to rebuild their lives.

Through strong partnerships and community involvement, First Day is dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening neighborhoods—ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
