Description

Tulare Lighthouse Rescue Mission is a Christian nonprofit that began in 2004 through the efforts of local volunteers and churches addressing homelessness in Tulare. Its housing programs include overnight emergency shelter, workforce supportive housing, and sober living room and board. Learn more through the official Lighthouse housing information.

The mission’s longer-term supportive housing helps people move beyond overnight shelter through safe shared living environments, purposeful volunteer and work opportunities, practical skill development, and peer support. Its programs have included services for women, children, and men, along with connections to community resources, parenting classes, Bible studies, and tutoring.

Lighthouse-operated industries, including its thrift store and other service activities, provide constructive work opportunities while helping support the organization’s programs. For additional housing and homelessness resources, visit NHREA’s California homeless assistance guide and federal assistance resource. Visit the official site to confirm current program details.
