Description

Friends In Deed is a Pasadena nonprofit providing compassionate support to people experiencing food insecurity, unsheltered homelessness, and related vulnerabilities. Its work is grounded in connection, dignity, and an inclusive approach to serving people from diverse backgrounds.

The Food Pantry serves low- and no-income families in the greater Pasadena and Altadena areas through a neighborhood-market model where community members can select groceries. The program also works with food banks, businesses, and community partners to distribute food and reduce waste.

Friends In Deed’s Street Outreach and Housing team builds relationships with people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in Pasadena, connects them with coordinated housing services, and helps reduce barriers to temporary or permanent housing. The team also links people with physical and mental health treatment, employment programs, and legal aid.
