Description

Long Beach Rescue Mission in Long Beach, California, supports people experiencing homelessness and hunger through emergency services and longer-term programs. Its work includes food, shelter, clean clothing, hygiene, rest, case management, and compassionate support for men, women, children, and men with disabilities.

Through its faith-based life-change programs, the Mission provides counseling, training, and education. The year-long New Life residential discipleship program helps participants address addiction and other challenges, build life skills, pursue academic and employment goals, and work toward self-sufficiency. Additional programs support employment preparation, continuing education, housing, and the transition toward independent living.

For broader guidance, see NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the Mission’s official emergency services page for current program and access details.
