Founded in 1974 by community volunteers, Youth In Need offers an extensive continuum of care through more than 50 direct service and support programs tailored to children, teens, and families facing adversity. Serving over 8,000 clients annually across nearly 100 sites within a 100-mile radius in six counties of eastern Missouri, Youth In Need provides residential homes, foster care case management, homeless outreach, counseling, support groups, education, and family development programs.

The organization employs more than 400 dedicated full- and part-time staff across various disciplines to ensure high-quality services, supported by over 350 committed volunteers who enrich the agency’s programs. Youth In Need is one of the few agencies nationwide offering a seamless continuum of care from infancy through adulthood, uniquely positioned to help vulnerable youth and families achieve stability, healing, and success.
