One Step Transitional Home Ministry
Description
One Step Transitional Home Ministry, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization providing transitional housing and life skills training for young men and women transitioning from foster care or group homes to independent living. Founded in 2002 by Bishop Leon McClain, One Step Ministry offers supportive housing for individuals ages 18 to 21, as well as mentoring programs for younger youth through its Creative Learning Division. With a commitment to addressing the religious, charitable, educational, and social needs of at-risk youth, the ministry empowers young people to become whole, functioning members of their communities. Volunteers and mentors work closely with participants to provide guidance, life skills, and encouragement, fostering a successful transition to adulthood.
