Description

Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition (CLHC), located at 1515 Jackson St in Alexandria, works to identify, advocate for, and mobilize community resources so people in Central Louisiana can access stable homes. The coalition brings together nonprofit providers, public agencies, faith-based organizations, housing partners, health and social service organizations, advocates, and other community stakeholders involved in homelessness response.

Its programs include Permanent Supportive Housing, which combines long-term housing assistance with supportive services, and Street Outreach, which connects people experiencing homelessness in unsheltered locations with shelter, housing, and critical services. The Homeless Resource Center provides practical support such as showers, laundry services, hygiene products, mail services, phone access, Wi-Fi, and supportive services. Visit the official programs page for current details.

For additional housing resources, readers can review NHREA’s Louisiana homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
