New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness
Description
New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness works with member agencies and partner providers throughout New Mexico to coordinate housing options, services, resources, funding, and advocacy for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Its collaborative approach is grounded in the belief that housing is a human right and in the goal of ending homelessness across the state.
Through its homeless support resources, the coalition provides housing services, referrals, and placements for people who qualify for its support, while connecting others with additional housing resources when appropriate. Its network includes organizations offering permanent supportive housing, shelter services, health care, and legal aid, and its homeless services map helps visitors explore participating agencies and the types of services they provide.
The coalition also participates in youth homelessness initiatives, including the New Mexico Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project, which supports coordinated community efforts to prevent and end youth homelessness. For additional guidance, see NHREA’s New Mexico homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
