Description
Homes with Hope – Ending Homelessness in Fairfield County
Homes with Hope, headquartered in Westport, Connecticut, is a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on preventing and ending homelessness in Fairfield County. Established in 1983 as the Interfaith Housing Association, Homes with Hope began as a collaborative effort among local religious groups to address the growing number of homeless individuals seeking aid, especially single men in need of shelter.
Starting its journey in a retired firehouse provided by the Town of Westport, the organization opened its doors in 1984 as a homeless shelter for single men. Since then, Homes with Hope has expanded its services and outreach, continually adapting to the evolving needs of the community while maintaining its mission to provide compassionate, effective support to those experiencing homelessness.
With decades of experience and strong community partnerships, Homes with Hope remains committed to innovative solutions, advocacy, and providing housing and support services designed to create lasting stability for Fairfield County’s most vulnerable populations.
