Description

The Heartland Coalition for The Homeless (HCH) serves as the primary Continuum of Care agency dedicated to addressing homelessness across six counties in Florida: DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, and Okeechobee. As a leading nonprofit organization, HCH plays a critical role in the planning, prevention, and coordination of comprehensive services tailored to meet the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness or facing the risk of losing their housing.

HCH collaborates closely with a broad network of service providers, government agencies, and community organizations to ensure that vulnerable populations receive timely access to housing assistance, emergency shelter, and supportive services. By fostering partnerships and leveraging resources, the Coalition strives to provide effective solutions that promote housing stability, self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life for homeless and disadvantaged individuals.

The Heartland Coalition for The Homeless offers hands-on support that includes case management, housing placement, referrals, and education about available resources. Their coordinated efforts focus on preventing homelessness before it begins while providing essential aid to those currently without shelter. This holistic approach helps strengthen families and communities, reducing the impact of homelessness throughout the region.

With a strong commitment to compassionate service and community collaboration, HCH is dedicated to ending homelessness in the Heartland region. By engaging local stakeholders and advocating for vulnerable populations, the Coalition continues to build a safer, healthier future where everyone has access to stable, affordable housing and the support needed to thrive.
