Description

Founded in 2011, Shoes for the Homeless, Inc. was a nonprofit footwear initiative providing quality shoes to people experiencing homelessness across the United States. Its work served men, women, and children through support from volunteers, donors, youth ambassadors, and nonprofit partners.

The organization worked with groups including Union Rescue Mission, Upward Bound House, and the Los Angeles Mission. Activities included volunteer events, shoe sorting, and distribution, with an emphasis on comfort, protection, and dignity. According to the official farewell announcement, the program transitioned to Los Angeles House of Ruth so this work could continue. Visit the official source to confirm any current program details.
