Description

Founded in 1988, the Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness (RICEH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness across Rhode Island. Working collaboratively with individuals, organizations, and state partners, RICEH pursues comprehensive solutions to housing instability and homelessness.
RICEH actively advocates for impactful policies—such as increased funding for homeless services, sealing eviction records, and payday lending reform—at both state and local levels. Through a 365-day-a-year hotline, RICEH connects families and individuals living outdoors to emergency shelter and vital resources.
RICEH manages the state’s centralized database tracking homelessness trends and outcomes, providing critical data to improve services. Their SSDI/SSI Outreach, Access, and Recovery programs increase access to disability benefits for eligible adults and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
At its core, RICEH centers and empowers voices with lived experience through the Voices of Homelessness Bureau and the Constituent Advocacy Committee, ensuring those directly impacted guide the path toward lasting solutions.
