Central City Concern
Description
Central City Concern (CCC) is a pioneering nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness by addressing the whole person, recognizing each individual’s inherent dignity and potential. Each year, nearly 16,000 people turn to CCC for compassionate, comprehensive support designed to help them become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.
Homelessness is a complex issue shaped by a web of systemic barriers and personal challenges. CCC draws on more than 45 years of frontline experience to tackle these challenges head-on, addressing root causes such as the lack of affordable housing, inadequate health care, systemic racism, mental health and substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, unemployment, and interactions with the justice system. CCC’s holistic approach integrates housing, healthcare, employment support, and community connection, fostering healing and long-term stability.
Empowered by dedicated staff, generous donors, committed partners, and volunteers, Central City Concern is creating a proven, replicable solution to homelessness—one person at a time. Their mission centers on helping those facing life’s greatest challenges build healthy, housed, resilient, and engaged lives. CCC envisions a connected community where all neighbors have access to housing, health, and economic opportunities, working collaboratively to end homelessness. Their core values emphasize human dignity, respect, and restorative relationships as the foundation of their work.
