Description

Founded in 1987, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida is a short-term residential shelter in downtown Orlando focused on housing, emergency services, and diversion. Its mission is to help men, women, and children move from homelessness toward safe, stable, permanent homes.

Residential programs provide shelter, nutritious meals, hygiene items, case management, and individualized housing planning. The Coalition also describes specialized support for veterans and victims of crime, along with childcare and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten services for children staying at the Center for Women & Families. Housing pathways may include supportive-housing referrals, Rapid Re-Housing, and Bridge Housing. Its drop-in service information describes diversion assistance, housing counseling, conflict resolution, and community meals.
