Coalition for the Homeless Residence Area
Description
The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida is dedicated to transforming the lives of men, women, and children by providing essential services aimed at ending the crisis of homelessness in our community. Founded in 1987 by a group of compassionate citizens who recognized the growing challenge of homelessness in Central Florida, the Coalition has since become a leading force in offering hope, shelter, and support to those in need.
As a short-term residential shelter, the Coalition focuses on housing stability, emergency services, and diversion programs designed to help families and individuals swiftly transition from homelessness back to permanent, stable homes. Every day, we serve more than 500 men, women, and children through our comprehensive residential programs, while also extending outreach and assistance to over 100 unsheltered individuals through our targeted community initiatives.
Our commitment to the community and the evolving landscape of homelessness has enabled the Coalition to continuously adapt and expand its services for over three decades. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, compassion, and effective intervention, the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida works tirelessly to address the root causes of homelessness and provide lasting solutions for those facing housing insecurity.
By leveraging community support and partnerships, we aim to break the cycle of homelessness and foster a future where everyone has access to safe, affordable housing and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Join us in our mission to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in Central Florida — because together, we can create lasting change for individuals and families in crisis.
