Community Action Partnership of Madera County, Inc. (CAPMC) offers Community Services/LIHEAP application assistance at 1225 Gill Avenue in Madera, California. This is a public office and application access point, not a listed shelter residence. For help getting started, call Community Services at (559) 673-9173 or visit the office. CAPMC’s official LIHEAP page provides fillable, downloadable applications in English and Spanish.
The federally funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps eligible low-income households with energy costs. Households may apply only once per program year, and assistance depends on eligibility and available funds. CAPMC warns that a qualifying credit can take up to 90 days to appear on the utility account after the application is processed; this is not emergency assistance. Applicants remain responsible for continuing payments on their PG&E utility bill. NHREA’s federal assistance guide offers information about other resources, not a LIHEAP application portal.
CAPMC permits ordinary paperwork delivery through the drop box on the side of the building. However, LIHEAP applications for 48-hour notices must be delivered in person during regular business hours. That submission requirement does not guarantee emergency funds or prevention of a shutoff. Check the provider’s posted closure schedule before traveling; drop-box availability is not confirmed as 24-hour access.
