In response to a growing crisis of homeless and runaway youth migrating to the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, Judge Estella Moriarty and Joseph Sciortino partnered with Covenant House to establish a dedicated program nearby. This initiative was created to provide vital shelter, support services, and resources specifically tailored to vulnerable young people facing homelessness and instability along the beach corridor. Covenant House’s Fort Lauderdale program continues to serve as a safe haven, offering comprehensive outreach, case management, and housing solutions to help youth rebuild their lives and find lasting stability.
