Description

Family Promise of Morris County: Faith-Based, Volunteer-Powered Support Providing Shelter, Housing, and Outreach to Families and Individuals Facing Homelessness

Unique in our compassionate approach, Family Promise of Morris County partners with over 75 congregations of diverse faiths and mobilizes 1,600 dedicated volunteers and supporters to deliver critical shelter, housing, and outreach services to families and individuals confronting homelessness and housing insecurity in Morris County, New Jersey.

Unlike many traditional shelters that impose strict time limits on stays, Family Promise allows our guests to remain with us for as long as they need to regain stability and independence. Whether a few weeks or up to a year, this flexible model ensures that families and individuals have the time necessary to build resources, complete education or job training, and secure gainful employment and permanent housing—laying the foundation for lasting success.

Our holistic program prioritizes preparation and empowerment, equipping guests with the tools and support needed to confidently transition into permanent homes within the community. The commitment and collaboration of our faith partners and volunteers are central to making this mission possible, creating a welcoming, supportive network that uplifts those in need.

For families and individuals seeking compassionate, long-term assistance to overcome homelessness in Morris County, Family Promise stands as a trusted beacon of hope and renewal.
