Home of the Sparrow, Inc.

Home of the Sparrow, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Woodstock that has worked to reduce homelessness since 1987. Its mission is to empower women, children, families, and individuals as they move from homelessness toward self-sufficiency through community partnerships and supportive services.

Programs include transitional shelter, affordable housing, rapid rehousing, and homeless prevention assistance. Services may include housing support, rental or utility assistance, case management, and help with budgeting, employment, education, parenting, health, and community resources. Rapid rehousing assistance is designed to help eligible households move into permanent housing, while prevention services focus on stabilizing households facing a temporary economic crisis.
