Description

Homeless Experience Legal Protection (H.E.L.P.) is a nationwide initiative that enlists attorneys, law students, paralegals, and law firm staff to provide free, pro bono legal services to individuals experiencing homelessness. By meeting clients where they are—in local shelters and community service organizations—H.E.L.P. ensures that legal assistance is accessible to those who need it most.
Founded by Judge Jay Zainey, H.E.L.P. operates with the conviction that legal professionals have a responsibility to use their skills to give back, protect rights, and help minimize homelessness. Services range from one-time consultations to more extensive legal representation, depending on each client’s needs.
Through its growing network of dedicated volunteers, H.E.L.P. is breaking down barriers to justice, offering hope, and empowering people to overcome the legal challenges that can keep them trapped in homelessness.
