Homeless No More
Description
Founded in 2018, Ray’s The Roof House The Homeless Foundation is a faith-driven, nonpartisan nonprofit in North Carolina focused on eliminating hunger and homelessness through holistic outreach. With a mission grounded in compassion and service, the organization serves veterans, youth, the elderly, individuals with special needs, and under-resourced families—providing food, shelter, and long-term supportive solutions.
Ray’s operates safe transitional shelters, builds affordable low-income housing, and partners with local institutions such as Elon University and businesses like Belk, Starbucks, and Olive Garden for regular food and clothing drives. Despite setbacks caused by COVID‑19, construction is scheduled to begin in 2024 using innovative green building technologies to provide sustainable housing solutions. Through models like “Housing First” and “Rapid Rehousing,” the foundation combines community collaboration with strategic advocacy to build a future where no one is hungry or homeless.
