HOPELINK OF SOUTHERN NEVADA
Description
HopeLink: Comprehensive Family Resource Center Providing Emergency Shelter, Housing, and Support Services in Henderson and the Las Vegas Valley
Founded in 1991 by Barbara Gomez and Pamela Erickson, HopeLink was established to create a robust support network for individuals and families in need throughout Henderson, Nevada, and the broader Las Vegas Valley. In 1996, HopeLink was officially designated by the State of Nevada as a full-service Family Resource Center, a role it continues to fulfill across multiple locations in the region.
HopeLink offers expert case management, extensive referrals, and in-house funding to assist clients facing verified crises. We specialize in providing turnkey assistance and services to the unreached and underserved populations, empowering them to transition from poverty to self-sufficiency.
Our diverse programs include emergency and inclement weather shelters, housing and supportive housing options, community home rentals through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and access to vital resources such as food pantries and nutrition programs. Additionally, we offer senior services, community resource fairs, family events, free tax preparation through the VITA program, holiday gift assistance, and rent and utility support.
HopeLink also provides free educational classes in parenting, financial literacy, GED/HSE preparation, nutrition, and practical life skills—all designed to equip clients with the knowledge and tools necessary for long-term stability. Eligibility for services is based on verified need, with a strong emphasis on client accountability and mutual participation in case management goals.
As a trusted community partner, HopeLink continues to improve the lives of thousands by delivering compassionate, comprehensive support that addresses immediate needs and fosters lasting independence.
