Kansas Statewide Homeless Coalition
Description
Kansas State Homeless Coalition – Coordinating Care to End Homelessness Across Kansas
The Kansas State Homeless Coalition, Inc. (KSHC) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas, committed to ending homelessness throughout the state. As the Collaborative Applicant for the Kansas Balance of State Continuum of Care (CoC), KSHC coordinates efforts across 101 counties—excluding Johnson, Sedgwick, Shawnee, and Wyandotte—to deliver effective, unified homelessness response systems.
Our mission is to act as a catalyst for safe, appropriate, and affordable housing for all Kansans, working alongside local, state, and national partners. KSHC provides vital services such as advocacy, training, remote case management, and community education, especially in rural and under-resourced areas.
By addressing housing insecurity from both a strategic and human perspective, we empower communities to develop sustainable solutions. Whether through policy change or direct service coordination, KSHC is leading the way to ensure that homelessness in Kansas becomes rare and nonrecurring.
