Description

New Reach, Inc. helps people and families across Connecticut experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and food insecurity. Its work combines prevention, crisis services, shelter, supportive services, and longer-term housing solutions. In New Haven, the organization operates shelters and connects households with resources that support housing stability and independence.

New Reach’s housing-stability work includes case management, landlord mediation, legal-services partnerships, employment and education referrals, and links to government programs. Its Stable Families Program focuses on helping families at risk of eviction through individualized casework and coordinated support. New Reach also operates FISH, which delivers groceries to homebound neighbors who face barriers to accessing traditional food resources because of age, illness, disability, or other circumstances.

Learn more through the official New Reach website and its Get Help page. Additional information is available through NHREA’s Connecticut homeless-assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official sources to confirm current program details.
