Open Doors Homeless Coalition
Description
The Open Doors Homeless Coalition is a powerful collaborative initiative dedicated to tackling homelessness in South Mississippi. Through a unified approach that emphasizes improved service delivery, extensive community outreach, and persistent advocacy efforts, Open Doors works to create lasting, systemic solutions to homelessness. By fostering partnerships among service providers, local agencies, and community members, the coalition enhances coordination and maximizes resources to better support individuals and families experiencing housing instability.
In alignment with federal funding opportunities, Open Doors actively participates in the MS-503 Continuum of Care (CoC) process, including posting the FY 2024-25 Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), reallocation policies, and scoring rubrics. These efforts help ensure the community stays informed and engaged with key initiatives designed to reduce homelessness across the region.
