Steps Coalition

Steps Coalition is a Mississippi Gulf Coast community organization formed in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina. It brings nonprofit organizations and community members together to identify local priorities, strengthen leadership, and support community advocacy.

Its work focuses on affordable housing, economic development, preservation of historical communities, climate and environmental justice, civil rights, voting rights, and racial equity. Steps Coalition emphasizes communication, coordination, and collaboration to help communities participate in decisions affecting their neighborhoods and future.

Visit the official Steps Coalition website to learn more about its mission and priorities. People seeking broader housing resources can also review homeless assistance in Mississippi and federal assistance resources. Check the official site for current program details.
