Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission

Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission is a social justice and community-building nonprofit serving Boyle Heights in Los Angeles. Founded in 1986 by Father Greg Boyle, S.J., and Dolores Mission parishioners, the organization works with residents through grassroots projects in education, leadership, and service.

Its programs include early childhood education through La Guardería and Centro de Alegría, IMPACTO youth development, Comunidad En Movimiento community organizing, and Promesa Boyle Heights, a collaboration supporting community-school and cradle-to-career efforts. The Guadalupe Homeless Project provides shelter and wraparound support at Dolores Mission Church, connecting residents with resources such as mental health support, job skills, English classes, and substance prevention.

People seeking homelessness resources can review NHREA’s California homeless assistance guide and federal assistance resources. Visit the official Proyecto Pastoral programs page to learn more and confirm current program details.
