Since 1983, Shelter House has been a cornerstone of hope and support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Iowa City. Shelter House’s comprehensive programs focus on housing stability, employment support, and mental health recovery, helping hundreds of adults, children, and families regain independence and rebuild their lives each year. Committed to systemic community change, Shelter House prioritizes excellence in service, sound financial stewardship, and strong community partnerships.
