Shelterhouse

Shelterhouse provides emergency shelter and supportive services for single adult men and women experiencing homelessness in Greater Cincinnati. Its two shelter locations—the David & Rebecca Barron Center for Men and the Esther Marie Hatton Center for Women—offer safe lodging, meals, and connections to services at no cost. Shelterhouse does not serve families or children.

Housing support includes Rapid Re-Housing, which helps participants move from homelessness into stable housing. The program may assist with temporary rent, security deposits, and utilities, along with housing searches, applications, landlord communication, budgeting, employment resources, benefits, and healthcare connections. Recovery services include substance use disorder assessment and case management, individual and group counseling, referrals, and connections to Twelve-Step programs. Shelterhouse states that its Recovery Program is certified by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health and accredited by CARF.
