Supportive Services, Inc.
Description
Our agency operates on principles of equality and inclusivity, ensuring non-discriminatory access to all children, parents, and care providers. Our success and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality services are rooted in the dedication of our long-standing staff, many of whom have been with us for over a decade, providing the continuity families value and trust.
As the lead agency for the Fresno Area Child Development Consortium for 29 years, Supportive Services, Inc. fosters collaboration with a broad network of community partners, including school districts, child care providers, community colleges, universities, social service agencies, and local businesses. These partnerships help us address the diverse and evolving needs of families throughout Fresno County, creating a strong foundation for child development and family wellbeing.
Our agency proudly honors community leaders and contributors, such as Dr. Joseph Martinez from the California Department of Education’s Early Learning and Care Division, who was recognized for his invaluable service to the Central Valley region. From our humble beginnings as a three-person team led by Executive Director Emeritus Dan Golden, supporting just 80 children, Supportive Services, Inc. has grown into a robust organization with over 30 staff members, serving thousands of children and families each year.
With ongoing funding and support from the California Department of Social Services’ Alternative Payment Programs, Supportive Services, Inc. remains dedicated to uplifting the lives of Fresno County’s children and families by providing essential child care services, promoting early childhood education, and strengthening community partnerships for a brighter future.
