Description

The Housing Collective brings organizations and communities together to advance safe, stable, and affordable housing in Connecticut. Based in Bridgeport, the organization supports the homelessness response system in Western Connecticut and regional housing affordability initiatives in Western and Eastern Connecticut.

Its Opening Doors Initiative coordinates homelessness response efforts across western Connecticut, while the Housing Innovation Lab supports systems change through data, innovative tools, and the lived expertise of people who have experienced homelessness. The organization also convenes partners through its Centers for Housing Opportunity and provides research, training, policy, and data resources.

Through its Housing for All Network, The Housing Collective supports resident leaders and grassroots groups with resources related to housing rights, community engagement, local housing needs, planning, zoning, and housing development. Visit the Connecticut homeless assistance resource or NHREA’s federal assistance guide for additional information, and consult the official website for current program details.
