Description

AWAIC (Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis) provides domestic violence safe shelter, intervention, and prevention in Anchorage. Its services support survivors with advocacy, compassion, dignity, and collaborative care as they work toward safety and stability.

Through emergency shelter and crisis support services, AWAIC connects survivors and their children with trained advocates, safety-planning guidance, information about available options, and help accessing safe shelter. Services are free and confidential, with support for survivors regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, or disability. Visit the official crisis and support line page for current contact and service details.

For longer-term stability, AWAIC offers housing support that can include transitional living, case management, permanent-housing assistance, and education and support groups.
