Description

Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness and Housing works with communities of faith and people who have experienced homelessness to address homelessness and support housing advocacy in New York City. Its work includes food, shelter access, hygiene services, legal and medical support, and job-skills development for homeless and low-income New Yorkers.

The organization’s Life-Skills Empowerment Program focuses on recovery and reintegration for people affected by homelessness. Interfaith Assembly also encourages faith communities to advocate for affordable housing and public policies aimed at eliminating homelessness.

For related guidance, visit NHREA’s homeless assistance resources in New York and federal assistance resources. Visit the Interfaith Assembly official website to confirm current program details.
