Description

Founded in 1955 by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Ozanam Inn is a nonprofit direct-service agency serving people experiencing homelessness and other underserved residents of Greater New Orleans. At its Poydras Street location, the organization provides free assistance focused on basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and personal care. The facility also provides shelter and residential programs for women.

Ozanam Inn offers supportive services that can help people address barriers to stability, including counseling, healthcare through partner organizations, employment and educational assistance, legal and notary support, help obtaining identification documents, transportation assistance, and housing services. Case management helps participants address immediate crises and work toward health, independence, and permanent housing. Visit the official services page for more information.
