Description

The Dover Interfaith Ministry for the Homeless (DIMH) board exemplifies the rich diversity of Greater Dover’s faith traditions. It includes representatives from multiple Christian denominations alongside Jewish, Muslim, and Baha’i members. In addition, Unitarian/Universalists, Hindu, and Buddhist groups, together with volunteers from numerous local organizations, actively support the shelter.
Thanks to this vibrant interfaith collaboration, more than 12,000 plates of dinner are served annually to shelter residents—remarkably, all on a food budget of zero. This incredible community effort highlights the power of unity and compassion across faiths in addressing homelessness in the Dover area.
