Somerville Homeless Coalition

Founded in 1985 through a grassroots community response to homelessness, the Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC) provides homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families with individualized supportive services and tailored housing solutions. Its mission focuses on helping people obtain and maintain affordable housing.

SHC brings together services, support, and housing while also responding to food insecurity in the Somerville community. Its work is centered on meeting people where they are and connecting them with resources that can help them move toward greater stability.
