New Visions Homeless Services operates the only men’s emergency shelter in southwest Iowa, serving individuals experiencing homelessness in the Council Bluffs and Omaha metro areas. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this vital program provides safe shelter and compassionate care to more than 800 men each year who are facing housing instability, poverty, or crisis.
The New Visions emergency shelter is more than just a place to sleep. It offers essential services that meet immediate needs while connecting residents with resources for long-term stability. Men who enter the program receive nutritious meals, access to hygiene facilities, case management, and referrals to community services that address employment, healthcare, and recovery support.
By providing a safe and supportive environment, New Visions helps men in crisis find hope and begin the journey toward rebuilding their lives. The organization is deeply committed to serving the most vulnerable in the community with dignity, compassion, and respect.
