Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless
Description
The Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing housing stability and economic security through powerful, grassroots-driven public policy advocacy. Working across the state of Minnesota, MCH partners with individuals who have lived experience of homelessness and housing instability, alongside a robust network of over 100 member organizations that represent the full continuum of housing solutions.
Our diverse membership includes emergency shelter providers, transitional housing programs, supportive services, housing developers, health care and recovery organizations, and local and state agencies—all united in the mission to end homelessness in Minnesota.homeles
At MCH, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. Our mission is to generate effective public policies, mobilize community support, and secure local and statewide resources that expand access to housing and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
We drive this mission forward through advocacy at the Minnesota State Capitol, community organizing, legislative engagement, and strategic communications across the media. Whether it’s pushing for increased housing investments, tenant protections, or income supports, MCH works tirelessly to influence systems-level change that benefits those most in need.
Explore our recent policy outcomes from 2023, 2024, and 2025 to see how MCH continues to shape housing policy and secure legislative wins for our communities. Together, we’re building a future where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring—because housing is a human right.
