The Compton Initiative

Founded in 2006, The Compton Initiative is a nonprofit dedicated to restoring and strengthening neighborhoods in Compton. Its beautification work includes painting homes, schools, churches, and public murals, along with neighborhood cleanups and the removal of debris and graffiti.

The organization brings together residents, community groups, service organizations, nonprofits, and individual volunteers for hands-on projects that encourage care and pride in local neighborhoods. Learn more about its mission and history through the official Compton Initiative website.
