Southern California Mountains Foundation
Description
The Southern California Mountains Foundation is a passionate nonprofit dedicated to protecting natural resources, supporting youth development, and promoting environmental stewardship. For over 30 years, we have engaged our community through conservation initiatives, educational programs, hands-on volunteer service, and sustainable recreation.
Our mission is carried out by raising vital funds, organizing volunteer resources, and delivering impactful programs that promote health, sustainability, and the preservation of our beloved mountains and urban forests. With more than 700 trained volunteers contributing over 1.5 million service hours valued at $32.6 million, our efforts have made a measurable difference in protecting public lands while creating opportunities for outdoor education and recreation.
By bridging the gap between declining federal funding and increased public use, the Southern California Mountains Foundation ensures that our natural environment remains vibrant, accessible, and well-cared for—today and for future generations.
