Description

YWCA Columbus has served the community for more than a century with a mission centered on eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Its work includes practical resources, supportive housing, emergency shelter, and youth development programs.

The Women’s Residency Program provides permanent housing and supportive services for women experiencing homelessness and facing barriers such as addiction recovery, job loss, low income, or disabilities. Services include wellness and recovery support, benefits access, employment assistance, financial literacy and GED classes, personal goal-setting, and connections to community resources. Learn more through the official Women’s Residency Program page.

The YWCA Family Center provides emergency shelter and wraparound support for families experiencing homelessness, including housing and job-search assistance, transportation services, financial literacy, health-related referrals, eviction-prevention education, and child care. For additional resources, visit NHREA’s homeless assistance resources for Ohio and federal assistance guide. Visit YWCA Columbus’s official website to confirm current program details.
