Description

Located in Clearwater, Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP) serves homeless and low-income individuals and families, including veterans, in the Tampa Bay community. Founded in 1986, HEP helps people work toward self-sufficiency and an improved quality of life through housing, food, clothing, and supportive services.

HEP combines immediate stabilization with longer-term support. Services described by the organization include case management, medical and mental health care, dental and wellness care, benefits assistance, workforce development, continuing education, transportation, and veteran-specific housing programs. HEP also connects residents with community resources such as child care, food assistance, Medicaid, and veterans’ assistance.
