Description

Coalition for the Homeless works to prevent and end homelessness in Louisville through advocacy, education, and coordination among partner agencies. Its work promotes a community response focused on housing, policy, and support for people experiencing homelessness.

The Coalition advocates for affordable, safe, and permanent housing and has published recommendations addressing housing access, housing navigation, case management, shelter improvements, medical connections, and a coordinated response centered on people experiencing homelessness.

The organization also contributes to local homelessness data and reporting. Its Longitudinal Statistical Analysis materials describe community-level information used in HUD’s Annual Homeless Assessment Report, including patterns of system use and housing outcomes. For related guidance, see NHREA’s Kentucky homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
