Foundation for the Homeless (FFH) is an Austin community organization serving Central Texans experiencing hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Its work focuses on dignity, opportunity, housing stability, and an inclusive environment for the people it serves.
FFH’s programs include Feed My People, a founding initiative that connects people experiencing homelessness or poverty with meals and supportive resources through community partnerships. The organization also provides rapid rehousing for families with minor children, including case management focused on obtaining and maintaining safe, stable housing. Plus 1 offers utility assistance for Austin Energy customers who need help with outstanding bills.
For housing services, FFH explains that families with minor children must complete Austin/Travis County’s coordinated-entry assessment and receive a referral through ECHO. Visit the official get-help guidance to confirm program details and the assistance process. Additional options are available through NHREA’s Texas homeless-assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
